The Kenya Travel Industry Business Awards is an initiative of the the Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA). These peer-to-peer reviewed awards are designed to recognize and celebrate excellence and outstanding achievements within the travel industry.

Through these awards, KATA aims to encourage continued innovation, dedication, and service excellence among travel agents and their suppliers including airlines, hotels, and technology providers among others.

Best Mid-Size Travel Agency

Best Travel Agency Coast Region

Awards the top-performing travel agency based in Kenya’s coastal region. These agencies are distinguished by their outstanding service, innovation, and customer loyalty. This category focuses on agencies that cater to both local and international travelers, often providing unique travel experiences in the Coast region.

Best Travel Agency Upcountry

Honors the leading travel agency located in the upcountry regions of Kenya (Nakuru, Kisumu, Eldoret etc). These agencies are distinguished by their outstanding service, innovation, and customer loyalty. This category focuses on agencies that cater to both local and international travelers, often providing unique travel experiences in less urbanized areas.

Best Small-Size Travel Agency

Lifetime Achievement Award

This prestigious award recognizes an individual or organization that has made a lasting and significant contribution to Kenya’s travel industry. The recipient will have demonstrated leadership, innovation, and a commitment to the growth and development of travel in Kenya. This award will be determined by the KATA Board of Directors and is the highest honor within KeTIBA.

Best Travel Consultant Award

Celebrates an individual travel consultant who demonstrates exceptional knowledge, customer service, and dedication to clients. This category highlights the importance of personal expertise and customer care in the travel industry, recognizing those who go above and beyond to ensure their clients have memorable experiences.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Annual Kenya Travel Industry Business Awards is designed to ensure transparency, fairness, and recognition of genuine excellence within the industry.
The entire process will be conducted through an online portal and will be overseen by a reputable audit firm - Ronalds LLP, based in Kenya to guarantee its integrity and credibility. This streamlined selection process, based solely on nominations, ensures that the winners are genuinely recognized by their peers for their excellence and contributions to the travel industry.

Gala Night

Join us for the grand KeTIBA Awards Gala Night on December 11, 2024. This prestigious event will bring together leaders of the travel industry to celebrate achievements and foster collaboration. The evening will include a red-carpet welcome, networking sessions, a formal dinner with entertainment, and, of course, the much anticipated award presentations.
