Nairobi, Kenya – [4 th November 2024] – The Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) is delighted to announce the launch of the Kenya Travel Industry Business Awards (KeTIBA), an awards scheme designed to recognize and celebrate excellence within Kenya’s travel industry. KeTIBA seeks to honor both travel agents and industry suppliers who have demonstrated exceptional service, innovation, and contributions to the growth of Kenya’s travel sector.
As Kenya’s first peer-reviewed travel industry award, KeTIBA introduces an objective and anonymous nomination and voting process, inviting travel agents to nominate and vote for outstanding industry suppliers, while suppliers nominate and vote for deserving travel agents.
This process will be overseen by Ronalds and Associates, an independent auditing firm, ensuring fairness and transparency throughout. Nicanor Sabula, CEO of KATA, expressed his enthusiasm at the launch of the awards: “KeTIBA is an opportunity for us to highlight the remarkable achievements within our industry and foster a culture of excellence and mutual recognition. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting and showcasing the vital role that both agents and suppliers play in the success of the travel sector.”
The awards will culminate in a red-carpet gala event on December 11, 2024, at the Safari Park Hotel, where winners will be celebrated and presented with the prestigious KeTIBA trophies.
