Kenya Travel Industry Business Awards
The Kenya Travel Industry Business Awards (KeTIBA) celebrate excellence across Kenya’s travel and tourism ecosystem through a transparent, peer-driven, and customer-informed process.
Each year, the search for Kenya’s most outstanding travel organizations runs from September to November and unfolds in two key stages: Peer Nominations and Public Voting.
The nomination stage highlights the respect and recognition that travel professionals hold for one another within the industry.
Travel Agents nominate their preferred Industry Suppliers — including airlines, hotels, car rental companies, cruise operators, GDS companies, and other service providers — based on personal experience and satisfaction with service delivery.
Industry Suppliers, in turn, nominate their preferred Travel Agencies, evaluating them on professionalism, reliability, and service excellence.
There are two award streams under this process:
Travel Industry Supplier Awards – Nominated by travel agents.
Travel Agency Awards – Nominated by industry suppliers.
Following the nomination phase, the top five nominees in each category are shortlisted to proceed to the next stage.
The shortlisted nominees are then presented to the public for voting, allowing travelers and consumers to have their say. This stage captures the customer’s voice and perspective, adding real-world validation to industry recognition.
The final results in each category combine insights from peer nominations and public voting, ensuring that winners represent both professional respect within the industry and genuine appreciation from customers.
Throughout the selection process, both nominations and votes are guided by key performance indicators that define excellence in Kenya’s travel industry:
Quality of Service
Customer Satisfaction
Creativity and Innovation
Contribution to the Growth of the Travel Industry in Kenya
